Job Title: Financial Analyst – Product Cost / Business Support
Location: Kanata, ON
Status: Fulltime
Purpose:
The successful candidate will be a key team resource who is primarily responsible for the on-going maintenance and analysis of BreconRidge product costs and business support.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination, review, and analysis of expense budgets and forecasts
- Completion of variance analysis of actual spending to budget/forecast targets
- Assist with the development and ongoing improvement of financial systems and models
- Review and maintenance of global product standard costs including:
- Interaction with operational groups on product costing issues
- Completion of cost impact analysis on standard changes
- Calculation of Labour, Machine and overhead rates
- Creation and maintenance processes and procedures documentation
- Assist in the monthly financial close and year end audit
- Adhoc financial analysis and reporting
- Provide guidance to less experienced staff, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with established accounting principles, and procedures
Skills/Qualifications/Education:
- 5-6 years of progressive accounting/financial experience preferably in a hi-tech manufacturing environment
- Self motivated team player possessing highly developed analytical, computer and organizational skills
- Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and multi tasking in an ever changing environment
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and communicate effectively
- Extensive knowledge of SAP integrated computerized information systems (or equivalent) and the application of financial tools and measures
- Professional Accounting designation (CGA/CMA)
