Job Title:         Financial Analyst - Costing
Location:         Kanata, ON
Status:             Fulltime 

Responsibilities: 

• Ensure the timely and accurate closing of the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial periods including variance analysis.
  • Ensure timely completion of external year end audit test count and inventory audit working papers.
  • Provide financial business support analysis, recommendations and procedural processes to functional management.
  • Ensure current financial and costing information systems reflect current operating methodologies including recommendations for changes / development of new processes and procedures.
  • Participation on multi-disciplinary project teams, which focus on reviewing, implementing and/or enhancing “systems” functionality to improve business processes/reporting
  • Conducting independent studies and analysis on specific financial issues, review of financial systems and provide cost benefit analysis on various business cases
  • Adhoc financial analysis and reporting.

  Skills/Qualifications/Education: 

  • Self motivated team player possessing highly developed analytical, computer and organizational skill
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and multi tasking in an ever changing environment.
  • Desire for change and continuous improvement is a must.
  • Five to six years of progressive accounting/financial experience preferably in a hi-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP integrated computerized information systems and the application of financial tools and measures.
  • Professional Accounting designation (CGA/CMA).
