Job Title:            Director - Supply Chain
Location:           Kanata, Ontario
Status:               Full-time 

The successful candidate will be a senior level professional who is responsible for providing leadership to a group of Supply Chain Professionals, and is accountable for the overall performance of the assigned group.

Responsibilities generally include:

  • Key focus is on leadership and motivation of staff, and contributing advanced Supply Chain expertise to the Corporation. Responsible for effective communication within group and across functions.
  • Responsible to ensure that the group’s objectives and processes align with the overall business direction; support employees to achieve their objectives, and remove barriers to success.  Works with employees to plan, assign, and monitor individual objectives and activities based on overall group priorities, and company strategy. Provides useful and timely feedback to staff members on their performance and development plan, with input from manager. Takes the lead on difficult employee situations.
  • Responsible for defining and establishing Supply Chain strategies, programs and processes that optimize company effectiveness. Oversees all Supply Chain functions, and is responsible to ensure compliance with relevant company policies and procedures, legislation and industry standards.
  • Effective liaison with suppliers to ensure strategies, programs and processes required to meet business goals and objectives are implemented and performance is monitored.  Ensure corrective actions plans are documented and instituted quickly for all performance levels under standard.
  • Develop and implement pricing, sourcing, supply chain strategy for quotes and orders.
  • Interface with Sales and Marketing or customer for proposal of best supply chain options
  • Provides various complex reports, analyses, and recommendations as defined by management, both on a regular and ad hoc basis
  • Manages deliverables agreed to for the group overall, providing management with regular updates, identifying issues, and barriers, and solutions
  • Accountable for meeting overall Supply Chain objectives.
  • Actively contributes to the development and management of organizational objectives to support the business going forward.
  • Contributes to decisions on overall priorities within the division.
  • Makes decisions with long-term effect on BreconRidge’s business.

 

Skills/Qualifications/Education 

  • Generally requires completion of a post secondary degree program in Business Administration or Operations Management, with a minimum of 10 years of progressive and diversified procurement and supply Chain in Design & Manufacturing environments, including 3 years in a management position
