GPTS (General Purpose Test System) and Common Test Platform Software (CTP)
BreconRidge has developed an innovative General Purpose Test System (GPTS), consisting of a platform architecture that provides a common interface for a range of product-specific test fixtures and capabilities.  The GPTS solution integrates various automated test instruments and any custom circuitry. The GPTS can be easily upgraded, expanded and reconfigured, to accommodate customer-specific test requirements, thereby optimizing test costs, flexibility and maintainability while minimizing investment.

Complementing the generic GPTS hardware architecture is the Common Test Platform (CTP) software that utilizes an industry standard test executive, numerous test algorithms optimized for measurement speed, accuracy and repeatability, and an instrument driver layer that supports inter-vendor operability among different test equipment.

Using the capabilities of the GPTS architecture and the CTP, complemented by expertise in the design and fabrication of test fixtures (leveraging in-house machine shop capabilities), BreconRidge delivers cost-effective, product-specific functional test solutions that encompass parametric tests, embedded diagnostics, manufacturing and field repair tests. BreconRidge has deployed globally several GPTS-based testers for numerous Customers in Canada, the US, Asia and Europe.

Structural Test
Using a versatile set of complementary structural test methods and tools, BreconRidge offers several test options for prototypes, early production and volume manufacturing that can be optimally combined, based on product complexity, volume and cost requirements, to provide maximum test coverage. BreconRidge test engineering services include the development and implementation of turnkey structural test applications for Automated XRay Inspection, Automated Optical Inspection, In-Circuit Test, Flying Probe and PC JTAG Boundary Scan. 

In-Circuit test application expertise includes limited access ICT testing, which provides the ability to reduce test access and fixture costs while maintaining a high level of test coverage. In addition, BreconRidge offers the full development of PC-based Boundary Scan tests using the Asset Inter-tech and JTAG platforms.  BreconRidge also has expertise with other types of Boundary Scan test platforms such as the Goepel System.
